Opyos Cassis Gin Liqueur is made by resting a selection of hand-picked Luxembourgish cassis berries in a base of our award-winning Opyos Luxembourg Dry Gin for several months. The result is a beautifully balanced liqueur, characterised by intense ripe cassis notes, vibrant botanical freshness and a velvety texture, all wrapped in a deep purple colour.
The production of Opyos Cassis Gin Liqueur begins with carefully selected blackcurrants grown in Luxembourg by Eppelpress. Shortly after harvest, the berries are macerated together with organic raw cane sugar in our award-winning Opyos Luxembourg Dry Gin for several months. This slow extraction allows the gin to draw out the berries’ vibrant colour, rich fruit character and natural aromas while its distinctive botanical bouquet gradually merges with the cassis. After maceration, the berries are carefully pressed at Eppelpress to recover their remaining juice, flavour and colour. The liqueur is then matured for several additional months, allowing it to clarify naturally over time. As always, we avoid chill filtration and artificial additives, preserving the full character of this product, bottled at 30% vol.
